After a fortnight spent interviewing controversial figures, addressing crowds at conservative conferences, and kicking her feet up in luxury resorts, Senator Pauline Hanson is finally wrapping up her European tour and heading back to Australia.

Before she kicks off the 26 hour journey home, however, the One Nation leader has made a quick last minute layover in Istanbul Turkey just days after being spotted at the Dolce & Gabbana fashion show in Sicily.

“This whole trip was so impulsive and random. But I’ve really found myself over here, I just have a brand new zest for life and appreciation for the unique cultural tapestry of the Mediterranean. Ha! I don’t even really know what that means tbh. But I feel it!” she told The Advocate in an exclusive interview.

“So when Tommy recommended me a dentist in Turkey, so I thought eh what the hell and tacked a few days onto the end of my trip.”

“I hit up Gina first to see if she had a few K lying around that I could borrow to get a set of veneers put in while I’m here. But she started to lecture me about her generosity only going so far and what not, so I ended up just saying you know what, don't even worry about it.”

“But I didn’t let that get me down too long. I mean, there is one thing that’s bothered me a bit about Turkey and how the ladies here dress, but I’m not going to bother spelling it out to you guys because you’ll probably take it and do a smear piece on me."

"And yes I did cop another spray from Gina for splashing the cash around a bit in the Grand Bazaar. But come on can you blame me. All those rugs and tiles! Mesmerising."

“Anyway, I’m trying to convince Barnaby to come back with me for a hair transplant, heaven knows he needs it. I didn't know they did those here until there were all these men with bleeding scalps on my flight back. But apparently the doctors over here speak English and everything."

“Oh also you won’t believe this one, but I did even try a real life Turkish delight even though I always refuse them out of the Celebrations box! The rest of the food was falafel rubbish so I’m looking forward to a parmi, but honestly. I can safely say Turkey has my heart.”
