Introvert Mate Prepares To Decline Whatever It Is You're About To Invite Them To

I THINK I’M BUSY THAT DAY SORRY: A local introvert has today preemptively rejected an invitation from a close friend on account that they would rather stay home.
Samantha Timid is known to her friends as more of the withdrawn type, often skipping out on parties and nights out in favour of the comfort of her own bed and a binge-worthy series on Netflix.
The 24-year-old has held up that reputation at a local housewarming this evening, reportedly winding herself up to say no to whatever her good mate, Sophie Kean, is about to invite her to.
“I saw her talking to someone across the room, and I’m fairly certain she said something along the lines of ‘I have a mate that’d love to go’”, Timid admitted to The Advocate.
“I could already tell whatever shitshow she was planning was not going to be up my alley.”
“Mate last week she tried getting me out to a silent disco!”
“Fuck that!”
Kean’s eventual approach to her longtime friend seemingly confirmed Timid’s suspicions that an invitation to some form of bullshit activity was imminent.
“Sam! I’ve got our Thursday night sorted,” Kean allegedly said upon arrival.
“Surely come with me to Betoota Hotel’s slam poetry night! $8 wines if you have a go for yourself!”
Following a deep sigh, Samantha is understood to have made some slimy excuse about babysitting her neighbour’s cat on Thursdays, but did offer a vague promise to go next time with zero intention of keeping it.
