Inner-City Gym Decides It Needs 3 Metre Tall Glass Windows Facing Busy Main Street

Betoota Fit & Fierce 24/7 has reopened today after weeks of renovation. 

Included in the ‘improvements’ to the facilities is the installation of several 3 metre tall glass windows in their shopfront on High Street. 

The Gym’s manager, Mark Lateralson, says the upgrade was necessary to ensure the venue is not left behind by the competition. 

“Unfortunately, all the other gyms in Betoota’s french quarter and flight path district have gone with this type of architecture, and it seems to be really effective,” he said.

“We saw a drop in memberships, so it was actually a really obvious next step. Since their installation, we’ve had a surge of people walk past and just randomly sign up. So we’re glad to see the playing field even again, and look forward to the new clientele the windows bring.”

“Apparently people love to be watched when they’re working out, ha ha, idk, don’t ask me,” he added. 

However, Gracie Damio (23) begs to differ. She says she must be the gym's only sane member. 

“Why the fuck would I want someone to walk down High Street and see me behind the treadmill, genuinely on the verge of an early grave. It was bad enough emerging from the place red faced and puffed straight onto the path, but now they’ve gone and done me one better, and by better, I mean worse. Like exponentially worse,” she said. 

“I’m thinking I might have to travel out to the Plains to find a gym without it. Imagine how bad it’d be in Betoota Grove. Fuck. That. Anyway. It’s a nightmare. It makes zero sense.”

The young woman then wandered to the furthest corner and, finally out of sight, began using a piece of equipment she'd never even seen before.
