With Easter rapidly approaching, the nation is frantically trying to wrap its head around what Easter is looking like this year.
Buckling under the double whammy of fuel and cacao prices which are being used as a tasty little excuse for corporations to price gouge and shrinkflate their offerings to the detriment of consumers - many around the country are trying to make ends meet.
So, for young people blessed enough to not need the penalty rates of Easter, road trips away are still a go, for now.
However, with overheads going through the roof, throwaway offers of petty money are no longer throwaway offers.
"Yeah, a couple bags of chippies and a can of Mount Franklin ain't gonna cut it this year," said one South Betoota Polytechnic University Student, who thoughtlessly offered up her trusty Corolla for this weekend a few months ago.
"I actually am gonna need to get everyone to transfer me for petty money," she laughed.
"Given I'm living hand to mouth every week and I've taken the very well paying Easter Weekend off."
"Of course I'll wait till someone offers, but when they do I'll be jumping right on it."
More to come.
