There are whispers around Canberra this week that St Barnabus of Danglemah wants to get off Pauline's wild ride.
While Senator Pauline Hanson is overseas, the party's longest serving lieutenant Senator Malcolm Roberts is the defacto One Nation leader. It's his responsibility to keep the apple cart from being kicked over by threats external - or internal.
Just past noon today, Roberts appeared in Joyce's office and after trading the usual pleasantries, they got down to business.
Barnaby, head bowed sipping slowly from his Yeti Rambler while he waited for the ibuprofen to kick in, was asked by Roberts if he was indeed looking for the door.
"I hear the 'globalist parasites' are trying to charm you back to the Nationals," said Roberts.
Sources close to the Member for New England say that he just groaned and took another long sip of cool water.
"It would certainly be disappointing if it were to be true. And I never thought the UN's agenda would be this far reaching. We all know Albanese, Taylor and Canavan are all compromised. Angus worked for the KGB for God's sake. What do you think Fontera is? Yeah, a Russian money laundry," added Roberts.
"How much are they paying you, Barnabas? At least I hope you're getting paid. Because it would be such a shame. I can't believe it. Barnaby Joyce, United Nations bad actor."
Joyce lifted his head.
"Would you just fuck off?"
More to come.
