The recent heatwave in London has been absolutely huge for Clapham Australians who really want their pommy mates to know that "this is nothing compared to back home".

Lachy Hartwright (27), a Brisbane man living in London for the last 2 years, insists that this is nothing.

"Mate you call this a heatwave? hahaha this is a spring day back home" he said drenched in sweat while fanning himself inside his London apartment that has no AC and is specifically built to contain as much heat as possible.

While the 30 degree heat hits differently in London, Aussie residents throughout the city insist that this is what they are used to.

"Yeah imagine this but for 3 months straight" said one girl who had minor heat stroke on the tube due to overcrowding and lack of aircon on the train.

Witnesses say Australians across London have spent the entire week aggressively comparing every aspect of the weather to conditions back home.

Others have reportedly begun casually bringing up the 2019 bushfires, Darwin humidity and the fact school assemblies in Australia used to be cancelled once temperatures hit the mid 40s.

Meanwhile confused British locals say Australians become almost competitive during heatwaves.

"They look genuinely excited when someone complains" said one London office worker.

"I said I couldn't sleep because it was 29 degrees inside my flat and this Australian bloke immediately started telling me about how back home that would be considered cozy"
