A local woman aboard BA420 to the Gold Coast this morning, has had a rather rough flight it can be confirmed.
Boarding the 10:20 service to Coolie to go and see her sister who has been working down the coast, Jen Roberts (31) said she was looking forward to a little bit of shut eye on the big bird.
However, those plans came crashing down, when the group of 11 blokes drinking 9:30am beers at the Remienko Airport Bar arrived just in the knick of time at her boarding gate.
"Yeah, I was praying they were getting to Betoota Airways flight to Townsville," sighed Roberts.
"But Muzza and the boys were definitely heading to the Goldie with me."
"I should have known really."
After rowdily making their way onto the plane, the buck dressed in an air hostesses outfit and his group of fellow revellers reportedly started moving dangerously far down the aisle.
"Yeah, I was parked up the back," sighed Jen.
"And the lack of people filing into any of the seats in the rows in front of me was rather concerning."
"And then of course what I feared would happen, happened."
Jen explained that while the boys were actually quite respectful, the noise pollution from an excitable group of blokes who have cracked a bottle of their own bundy and ordered 2 beers for each member of the group is quite a lot at 10:30 in the morning.
"I don't begrudge them the excitement, I just wish they were like 10 rows in front of me," she laughed.
"Instead, I just had to re-read each page of my book like 2 or 3 times."
More to come.
