The Federal Government has today offered up some more information on its groundbreaking piece of gambling legislation.

After years of pretending to want to do something about the devastating effects of problem gambling on a growing number of Australian's and their families - the government has finally passed 'reform.'

The much touted reform which implements a couple of recommendations from the wide ranging report that was commissioned, was passed by both major parties yesterday.

As part of the reforms a new 'Opt Out' Scheme is set to be introduced by the government, as if tech giants are going to just play ball and sort this out for them.

It follows the highly succesful social media ban that has seen teen usage of social media drop from 85% to 81%.

Following questions about how exactly the scheme will work, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has offered up some more details.

"Look it's pretty simple stuff really," explained the PM.

"Anyone who wants to opt out of the scheme needs to go to the doctor."

"Obviously if they want to get seen within a couple of weeks they will need to pay out of pocket."

"Then they get a referral to a psych."

"Then they see the psych and simply get a letter saying that they need to opt out of gambling advertising."

"Easy as."

"Then they need to decide on which companies they don't want to see ads from."

"And head to Darwin, because most of them are there for tax purposes obviously, spin around 5 times and walking into the head office and hand a copy of the letter to that sportsbetting company."

"I really don't understand what the big deal is."
