The Federal government has today lashed out at all the 'soft cocks' in their circle - over what they are calling a 'serious dropping of nuts.'
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has formally blasted Federal parliament's cross bench today for refusing to join their Punters Club.
The spray follows a big couple of weeks of headlines about the state of Australia's online gambling industry - with a senate inquiry airing things like cocaine and sex workers being offered to vulnerable problem gamblers, in an effort to keep them gambling.
Those claims, in conjunction with growing criticism that the gambling bill in its current form is vastly unsatisfactory, has seen pressure mount on the government to sort its shit out.
The government has confirmed that they are okay to tighten regulations on 'inducements' but not going to budge on the tightening advertising restrictions - given the alleged impact it would have on mainstream media and organisations like the NRL.
"Mate, we can't just unlock the golden handcuffs of sportsbetting advertising for the major sporting codes, and media organisations that already hate me," laughed Albo this afternoon.
"We've given these guys on the crossbench an offer, take it or leave it."
"Just sign up to our punters club and stop being such pussies about it."
"We've got heaps of bonus bets sitting there and we can plan a mad trip with the winnings."
"Stop being such fucking sooks."
"Doing my head in."
The legislation is due to enter parliament this week.
More to come.
