"G'Day You Fucken Sucked Mango Seed Looking Fuck" Chalmers Greets Trump Logan-Style Amid Criticism

Treasurer Jim Chalmers has this morning delivered what political observers are describing as a "textbook Logan greeting" to US President Donald Trump during a tense overnight meeting at the Oval Office, after Trump renewed his accusations that Australia had failed to contribute to efforts to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Chalmers, who flew to Washington this week partly to present the US administration with news of Australia's $53 billion defence spending boost, was reportedly mid-handshake with the President when he offered the traditional salutation of his home suburb.

"G'day you fucken sucked mango seed looking fuck," Chalmers said.

"He just looked him dead in the eye," said one staffer present in the room.

"I mean, if you talk shit about someone, like, expect there to be questions to the face, bra. He's not from New Farm, aye?"

Trump, who moments earlier had told reporters he was "not happy" with Australia over its lack of commitment in the Strait of Hormuz, appeared unmoved by the gesture, instead pivoting to praise the US Navy as "the greatest in the history of the world, maybe ever."

Chalmers later told reporters outside the White House that he was not aware of any formal US request for Australian naval assets in the strait, describing the relationship between Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and President Trump as like that between "a Sunnybank restauranter" and "the ATO."

When pressed on whether the greeting had been pre-approved by the Prime Minister's office, Chalmers smiled.

"The [derogatory term redacted by ASD] knew it was coming," he said.

"He's got a lot of teeth for a smart [derogatory term redacted by ASD]."
