Fun Night With Friends Dampened By Woman’s Inability To Remember If She Turned Her Straightener Off

A night out with the girls has ended up being an anxious woman’s nightmare, as a local Betoota woman couldn’t confidently say she turned her hair straightener off before she left the house.

30 year old Hannah Hayes was looking forward to a night of letting loose and getting crunk with her girlfriends. But unfortunately for Hannah, a terrifying thought overcame her as soon as she entered the bar.

“I was so fine and then bam my brain was like you didn’t turn off your straightener did you??” Hannah explained to our reporter.

“As soon as I thought of that, the night wasn’t the same,” she added.

While Hannah tried to focus on having a good time her brain began to spiral, thinking of the worst possible outcome of her straightner being left on.

“I was imagining a huge fire, my neighbours being disappointed in me, my new MacBook destroyed.”

It wasn’t just Hannah whose night was ruined by the thought of a switch being turned on. Hannah’s friends had to deal with her potential OCD too.

“It would be fine if this was the first time this happened, but she does this almost most days she straightens her hair,” Hannah’s tired friend Aubrey told the Advocate.

“I honestly feel relief when I see her rock up to an event with her natural curly hair.”

After discussing it the entire night, Hannah returned home to find her straightener in its drawer not close to the powerpoint whatsoever.
