Friend Who Always Shouts The Uber Feeling A Weird Kinship With Gina Rinehart

A friend that always finds herself paying for the uber is currently feeling an uneasy kinship with mining magnate Gina Rinehart.

Zoe Walsh (28) a first year lawyer, has nodded in solidarity at the news that Gina Rinehart shouted her mate/employee Pauline Hanson a trip to Europe.

"Every friend group has a breadwinner," Zoe said in support.

According to friends, Zoe has become so accustomed to fronting the Uber fare that nobody even asks anymore. 

"They always say they'll transfer me later," she explained.

"They usually do... eventually. But there are still a couple of twenty dollar rides from 2023 floating around out there."

While Zoe admits catching a private jet across Europe is slightly different to ordering an UberX from Newtown to Surry Hills, she insists the emotional experience is remarkably similar.

"You don't really want the recognition," she said.

"You just want someone else to say, 'Nah, I've got this one.' for once."

Friends have defended the arrangement, arguing Zoe earns the most and therefore "doesn't really notice" another thirty-five dollar fare.

Still, after reading about the European getaway, Zoe couldn't shake the strange feeling that the gap between her and Gina might not be so big after all.

"The scale is similar."

"She's got Pauline asking if she can borrow the jet. I've got Sarah asking if I can cover the Uber because her banking app's playing up again."
