With the French football team packing their bags from the World Cup, the people of France are commiserating that loss in the most French way possible.
A first day of protests have kicked off across the country this evening French time, with millions pouring onto the street.
The outpouring of emotion is the first of 12 full days of protests ahead for France, who many had as favourites to win the World Cup.
Despite going out at the semi final stage after finishing runners up at the last edition in Qatar and winning the one before that in Russia, the loss has hit the French people hard.
Having come so accustomed to success from their national team over the last decade, the 12 days of protests are set to be fitting tribute to the high standards set by the team of superstars who play highly entertaining, and frankly, beautiful football.
It's yet to be revealed what the agenda for the twelve days of protests will be, but it's believed that FIFA corruption will play a role in at least a couple of days.
Other popular topics are likely around local council waste procedures, vaping being included in traditional cigarette breaks, and a lack of French language films getting Oscar nominated.
Australians in France are urged to grab a bottle of 1664 (or a nice Red) a packet of Gitanes and head out and enjoy the traditional French past time of protesting.
More to come.
