Australia's flagship journalistic program has once again provided the nation with some significant public interest journalism.
The ABC's Four Corners program has shocked the country by once again revealing the shit that goes on inside Australia's childcare industry.
The latest in a long running series of investigations into the $23 billion dollar childcare sector has once again revealed just how crook the whole for profit system is when it comes to looking after our nation's most vulnerable.
Shocking footage of children being abused has been once again horrified the country, with the overwhelming majority of the wonderful but underpaid and overworked staff in the industry, now tarnished as a result.
One of the focuses was on a centre that, along with 473 other remote or regional centres operates outside of the National Quality Framework (NQF) - which has once again left many asking how the fuck that happens - while also knowing how that happens.
Revelations of poor staffing numbers, training and regulation of the industry as a result of it being run largely by for profit providers who see kids as a line item of up to $350,000, and sees things like ratio's as a far less attractive line item - are set to draw the usual condemnation from the nation's politicians.
Of course that will be accompanied by a commitment for greater regulation that will result in another investigation down the track, because the industry will still be run by for profit providers who certainly aren't passing those profits on to the people who do the actual work, and cutting corners to maximise profits.
