The captain of Australia's T20 cricketing team has finally broken his silence.

After making headlines around the globe, Mitch 'The Bison' Marsh has exclusively sat down with The Betoota Advocate to explain what REALLY HAPPENED in Yellowstone over the weekend.

The much loved cricketer and barrel chested all rounder told our humble regional newspaper that the man at centre of the footage had been mouthing off for a significant period of time.

For those that don't have socials or consume commercial news media, an incident where a man was summersaulted into the air by a bison at Yellowstone National Park in America has been doing the rounds.

Now, after being at the centre of one the most viewed globally viewed videos of the month, the Bison says it's not all as it seems.

"Mate, he was just chirping and chirping," said an exasperated Mitch Marsh.

"And something come over me."

"A red rag to a bison so to speak..."

"I actually didn't mean to yeat him so hard, but when the Bison gets a head of steam up, it's hard to stop," said Marsh now speaking in third person about his persona.

"Someone should have told the English bowlers that before Headingly I reckon."

"But yeah look, it won't happen again."

"My backs still stiff as shit from getting under the bloke."

When pressed on why the Bison was at Yellowstone National Park, Marsh shrugged.

"Felt like it."

More to come.
