Deputy One Nation leader Pauline Hanson is questioning the romantic notions of national service this week after the party's figurehead Gina Rinehart suggested the party should adopt another of her left-field policy suggestions.
Recently, the party has put forward ideas to abolish all Aboriginal programmes, wind back the PBS, go after Australians with parents born overseas, Australian born overseas, people from other cultures, tell mother's to go without maternity leave or pay. This strange list of grievances is growing today.
With defacto Opposition leader Barnaby Joyce currently still in bed, Hanson was left to take the phone call from Rinehart alone.
Many in the community have been left wondering if Hanson is capable of critical thought, merely just a megaphone for her vested interests. Wonder no more because Hanson told The Advocate a short time ago that she considered Rinehart's latest thought bubble to be beyond the pale.
"Look, I'm all for putting the boot up dole blunders but having their nuts out and sending them to die in a lithium mine is a very strong cup of cordial, indeed," she said.
"And they wouldn't even be getting paid. But what would you do with money if you didn't have any balls? All a bit of waste, isn't it? God knows what she'd do with the unemployed women, I didn't consider asking. Didn't wanna know,"
"I'm in this because being an elected member or senator is just about the highest paid job you can get with zero qualifications whatsoever. Being a politician is one hell of a rort. Do you think Barnaby gives a fuck about the weatherboard and iron people anymore? Do you think he ever did? Do you know how much a regional accountant or fish and shop shop owner makes? It's fuck all, by the way,"
"And I sold my shop to Vietnamese refugees AFTER saying we were in danger of being swamped by Asians. But look, even I won't call for mass sterilisation of our most vulnerable people. Some people can't work because their body is fucked or their brain is fucked. That's just the way it is. We as a society are measured by how we treat our weakest, even a fucken idiot like me knows that. Ore Chungus, as we call her internally in One Nation, would have no idea."
More to come.
