The English press is scrambling this morning (their time), after disturbing allegations emerged overnight.

With the English Cricket team on a real tear at the moment ANOTHER scandal has broken.

Emerging out of the town of Bussexshire On Chunt, a breaking story has been reported that an English cricketer has just come home from a nightclub, without getting into a fight or being arrested.

The truly shocking story follows story after story about English Cricketers being unable to hold their piss - with captain Joe Root coming out to claim that the team actually has a really good culture.

Now, in a story that has to be seen to be believed, there might be an ounce of truth to Joe Root's comments - after young fast bowler Brenton Woolston managed to get an absolute skin full in before quietly heading home to bed and minding his p's and q's.

"Someone even started sledging him on the way out the door too," said one shocked onlooker.

"And it looked like he'd had a drink spilt on him by someone in the venue."

"He just politely got into a ride share and went home after posing for a couple of pics with excited and drunken revellers."

"Truly shocking."

The ECB is yet to offer an official comment on the situation.

More to come.
