"Don't Worry Babe, I'm Cooking Dinner" Man Says In Epic Troll

A local man has sent shivers down his domestic life partner's spine this week, and not in a good way, by showcasing his willingness to put gender roles to the side and put the apron on.

As the day draws to a close, the inevitable text exchange between two cohabitants began.

Betoota Heights council project manager Sally Dalton, as always was the first to reach out.

"What do you want to do for dinner?" she wrote to her everything, Hugh Carlton.

Hugh wrote back almost immediately, which was odd, and told her not to worry, he had it sorted.

Sally was surprised, considering she'd already resigned herself to having kids with a man that can't operate a stick vacuum or cook anything.

"I've got it sorted."

Hugh said he could barely contain his laughter in recounting what happened next to our reporter, with they were both down at the Gelded Seahorse beer garden this afternoon.

"She's written back, 'Wow babe nice what are we having?' and I sent her back this image I'd prepared earlier. When I took the recycling down when I got home, I saw the empty jar of Chicken Tonight cream cheese and bacon on top, so I took it out of the bin and put my recycling in, went upstairs, put the jar on the counter and sent her a picture," he said.

Hugh then framed the situation.

"Sal is a picky eater. She won't even eat white bread. You know how some girls are, can't eat this, can't eat that, blah blah blah well Sal is very much in that cohort of checking the ingredients for all the shit in them with the numbers and whatnot. So I thought it'd be funny if I sent her something she wouldn't eat if her life depended on it,"

"Needless to say, she was not impressed."

Sal wrote back, telling Hugh that she 'wouldn't be putting that shit in her body' and to make sure it's gone before she gets home.

"In what fucking world Hugh," she said.

"Are you fucked in the head? What is wrong with you. This is a new low."

After leaving her in the lurch for 30 minutes, Hugh sent back the half a dozen lamb loin chops on a tray next to the Weber.

"Haha nah, we're having chops and a greek salad babe. Relax."

More to come.
