Concerns Raised As Young Fella Reveals That He Prefers The Teeth Lolly From Party Mix

A local 6 year old had her birthday party flipped on its head over the weekend following a classmate's unusual choice of lolly. 

At around 11am on Saturday morning, Mia Callan-Jones and her parents had been keenly awaiting the arrival of around 30 year one students to their Cherry Street residence. 

“I’d invited the whole class,” Mia beamed, before her face slightly dropped. “But I’ll probably never do that again.”

“Anyway, Theo got there first. His mum walked him in. I thought he was nice and normal because he’s really fast and good at handball. But I guess I was wrong,” she said. 

Just seconds after entering, Theo zoned in on the multiple packs of Allen’s party mix laid out on the grazing table. 

He quickly let go of his Mums hand and made his way over. 

“Mmmm, yum.” he said, eyeing off the range of treats before carefully selecting a mint lolly resembling teeth and gums. 

The four onlookers watched in horror. 

“It was awful,” said Mia’s mum Sophie. “There was nothing we could do, I mean his mum was obviously horrified herself, the poor love, but you can’t exactly say you need to take your child home. It was just extremely uncomfortable for us.”

The young girl's Dad Declan echoed his partner's sentiment. 

“Yeah it was bad, only worse when we realised this little psycho was stuck at our house for the next three hours. I would’ve preferred him to take one of the banana lollies. What six year old picks the lolly that looks like teeth, especially when it tastes like mint?”

In his own world, Theo polished off all the teeth lollies before any of the kids arrived. 

“Which is the only good thing to come of it, he spared the other kids of even seeing them,” said Declan. 

Theo's parents are comforted only by the power of early intervention.
