Coalition Seemingly Torn Over Whether It Is Inappropriate To Call Their War Hero Colleague A Traitor

Western Australian Liberal MP and decorated SAS veteran, Andrew Hastie, has this week taken the gloves off and is now swinging at those on the far-right who continue to defame him.

Hastie has become a pariah to the brain-rotten corners of the Australia's right-wing social media landscape, after being subpoenaed to give court evidence against war criminal Ben Roberts-Smith during the 2022 defamation trials.

This has resulted in a cultural glitch that One Nation has taken advantage of - encouraging their extremely online supporter base to relentless attack the Liberal MP and his family - to their point where Hastie's AFP security detail has been upgraded in response to death threats.

What was initially meant to be a NewsCorp protection racket for an media darling war criminal has resulted in a civil war that is tearing apart the Australian military and Federal Opposition.

Even more frustrating for the Liberal Party is the fact that Hastie has stated he would "rather get taken out in a box than bend the knee to One Nation" - which makes life hard for his colleagues that were hoping to lure One Nation's voters by imitating the minor party.

Pauline Hanson has also made it very clear that she intends to target Hastie's seat at the next election, to punish him for giving evidence against a man that has been found guilty in civil defamation trial that major allegations of unlawful killings against.

One Nation believes that anyone who takes issue with war crimes - or does anything to stop them - are traitors, and have described Hastie as such in a cartoon posted to Pauline Hanson's social media accounts.

Hastie has claimed that he fronted court as a man who believes in the rule of law, and one that does not necessarily buy into this Americanised brand of nationalism that demands every single Australian unconditionally defends any Judeo-Christian Crusader wearing a military uniform, no matter how illegal or grotesque their actions in the battlefield.

This has caused insurmountable cultural problems within the Liberal Party - given that Hastie is a prominent member of the Coalition's right wing faction that would traditionally enjoy the votes that now go to One Naton in the algorithm era. He is also widely respected as an ADF captain who served from 2003 to 2015, completing multiple operational deployments in Afghanistan, the Middle East, and the Indo-Pacific.

However, One Nation's supporters remain loyal to the soldiers that are marred in allegations of indiscriminately killing Muslims - rather than the twenty or so SAS soldiers who gave evidence to expose such practices.

With the Parliamentary back benches and suburban party branches of the Liberal and Nationals also plagued by the same algorithmic brain-rot that gives civillians permission to tarnish the name of a war hero - it seems that Coalition are now torn over whether it is inappropriate to call their own colleague a 'gutless and weak traitor'

Meanwhile, Liberal leader Angus Taylor has decided to launch into an unseasonal debate over the date of Australian Day, as well as a completely uncalled for discussion around the 0.1% of the population who are transgender and want to play community sport.
