Broncos Win Race For The First Team To Touchdown In Bali

In good news for Brisbane Broncos fans, the team has won something this season, it can be reported.

This story comes as Jetstar JQ57 has just touched down at Denpasar airport, after a relatively quick flight from Brisbane.

Looking forward to putting a horror season behind them, it’s believed most of the forward pack, several of the backs and half the front office were on the first flight out of Brisbane this morning, on route to some much needed time away from the Rugby League media circus, and the pressure that comes with playing for the most blue chip sporting franchise in Australia.

Speaking to a player who spoke on the condition of anonymity, Patrick Riki-Staggs-Walsh has told The Advocate he’s excited to turn his phone off and sip cocktails by the pool for a while.

“It’s good to get away from Red Hill, it’s great to put a whole ocean between us,” said Riki-Staggs-Walsh, as he waited in the long immigration lines at Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport.

“None of us thought the year would be that much of shitshow.”

After a miserable run of losses at home, including a 40-6 point spanking at the hands the Wahs, it’s believed even perturbed Broncos fans have booked themselves in for a Bali holiday, and won’t be afraid to heckle the players if they see them out and about at Finns Beach Club.

“I blew $230 on a supporters membership this year thinking we’d go back to back, instead every weekend I watched those lumps fumble about like a spare wang at a wedding,” Terry Gatton (48) from Enoggera told our reporter.

“Hopefully when I get back from this holiday, I’ll be walking into a Lions Grand Final. Need at least one team to bring some pride back to our great state.”
