The nation's newest gay political icon has today made a stunning statement.

Brokeback Barnaby, the spokesperson for 'one of Australia's gayest parties,' has done so in the form of a recent purchase.

Not the adorable little bolt hole he just nabbed in Darlinghurst for an actual steal - but the purchase of a 2026 Tesla Model Y.

"Vroom vroom bitch," laughed Brokeback Barnaby in an exclusive interview with The Betoota Advocate this afternoon.

" Pretty snazzy isn't she."

The controversial purchase comes after well over a decade of Barnaby advocating for combustion engines, and railing against the ills of things like Net Zero.

"Oh that was the old Barn, it's time to get with the times," said Brokeback Barnaby.

"Diesel is so tacky now."

The new purchase comes as part of Brokeback Barnaby's new found cosmopolitan persona.

It has raised eyebrows within his party however, with 97% of One Nation voters reportedly admitting to sending memes and videos about the proclivities of Tesla owners.

"Yeah, it's certainly raised eyebrows within the party," said One Nation insider.

"Particularly with you know who," he said referencing the portrait of Gina Rinehart on the wall behind him.
