A Carina man has today been forced to make a big admission.
A former rusted on Liberal voter who know swings more to the middle, Andrew Wilson (59) has been at pains to admit this morning that those ‘stupid fucking lefties in the Greens’ have been going the big lift.
Swinging through the Toowong Bowls club to pick up some sandbags, Wilson said he noticed a distinct lack of Blue shirts.
“Yeah, I think there was one Liberal volunteer helping out the sandbag army, but not a great look,” he admitted in regards to the significant number of Greens employees and volunteers that have been filling bags and getting their hands dirty for the last 3 days.
“Doesn’t really fit into my narrative of them being inner city lefties who are afraid of hard work.”
His comments come after media organisations finally being to cover the fact that Peter Dutton spend an evening at a billionaire’s lavish Sydney Harbourside mansion trying to rub shoulders and raise for money while the rest of his electorate prepared for a devastating cyclone.
He also met for a lunch with a wealth developer, and had grand plans to hit a fundraiser in Melbourne and an event at Macquarie bank on Thursday, which he frustratingly had to cancel.
During that run he provided media with a nice photo of him sitting on his hobby farm which was taken some time ago, and quotes about ‘battering down’ the hatches.
“Yeah, he’s nowhere to be fucking seen,” muttered Wilson.
“I’m sure he’ll turn up in high vis somewhere to get some shots with the mud army though.”
