Fremantle Really Hoping To Prove They Are Also Good At Sport

Some bloke that works in town has come home this week, kicked off the Hush Puppies, slipped out of his MJ Bale office banger and put on his best tracksuit as he prepared what has become a bit of a Monday night ritual.
Gone are the days when he'd pull himself silly watching the ABC's news and current affairs cornucopia that is its Monday evening programming. At this point in his life, city worker Gabe Bork just wants to switch his brain off after the first day back with a bit of streaming and time spent horizontal on the Nick Scali.
Last night, he flicked on The Lizzie Borden Story, as his Netflix algorithm knows he's got ants on the brain and loves content featuring extreme violence and other stuff you wouldn't find on Channel 9 at that time of night.
If you have no fucken idea what I'm on about, basically Lizzie’s stuck in a miserable, controlling household, gets really close to the family maid and starts imagining a way out. Then her dad and stepmum are brutally murdered, and the whole thing becomes about whether Lizzie did it and what was really going on inside that house. This happened ages ago overseas somewhere.
Just what we need as domestic violence in this country seems to be spiralling out of control and pretty much any copper will tell you that's just about all they seem to do these days, which is driving them up the wall.
Anyway, it's just white noise for Gabe.
He just turned it on, whipped his phone out and read about the real Lizzie while Netflix played on indefinitely in front of him.
More to come.
