Barnaby Announces Newfound Love For Jungle Juice Following Messy Night Out With Troye Sivan

Friends and family of brokeback Barnaby are expressing concern after a wild night out with popstar and gay icon Troye Sivan saw him introduced to the joy of inhalants. 

Jungle juice is a common street name used for leather cleaner, which is also referred to as ‘poppers’ or ‘amyl’. Typically inhaled as a liquid aroma, the party stimulant is particularly popular in gay dance scenes across the world. 

It was also the inspiration behind Troye’s hit track ‘Rush’, which was awarded ARIA’s song of the year in 2023. 

All of which Barnaby had come to learn during his time in Australia’s gayest party, One Nation. 

So when Troye reached out with an invite to Yah Yahs ‘Thurs-gays’ session, he didn’t need to be asked twice. 

“We had a ball. Almost 30 years between us but you’d never guess it,” said the MP. 

“And his friends are sweet, they welcomed me in like one of their own. Plus they’re nice to look at, that helps,” he said, tapping the side of his nose cheekily. 

“It’s nice to have some new friends who understand me a bit more. There’s not much of a gay crowd out my way. There’s a young lesbian couple who bought the property beside me but we’ve never really clicked. Anyway. We went feral, it was super chaotic and slay.”

And the 31 year old singer agrees that for all their differences, Barnaby can at least dance. 

“Honestly, it went better than I ever could’ve hoped. I thought it might be awkward mixing two separate groups but it was actually so fine,” he said. 

“Baby gays are the best to party with because they’re so excited by everything, like he was just so stoked to be there. I remember when I was like that once upon a time.”

“Oh sorry, a baby gay is like someone who is early into their gay discovery and journey,” Troye clarified for our central Queensland reporter, who was wearing a bewildered expression on their face. 

“Anyway, no I wouldn’t say this will become a habitual thing, it was more like an act of charity, but still. Glad to give him a glimpse of his new world and all.”
