A local man who originally hails from the Iberian peninsula is walking on clouds, it can be confirmed.
Santi Paz Rodriguez (29) said that he is soaking up every minute of his team's World Cup run.
Not only are his band of Spaniards set to play for World Cup glory against the Argentines, but they will do so at the the perfect time for the French Quarter based man.
"Ahhhhh si si, perfecto," said Santi, who was preparing to head off for a little afternoon nap.
"The game is perfect time for me."
"Have some dinner, have some desert maybe, a couple of glasses of wine and then crack an Estrella and watch the game," said Santi, a man who hails from a country famous for doing things rather late.
When pressed on the fact that the game is actually 5am on a Monday morning, Santi laughed.
"Si, I mean yes, we have slightly later dinner, and then if we win we go out, and if we lose I have a sleep."
When then pressed on what he was going to do for work, should Spain win, Santi laughed again.
"Work work work," said Santi, who looks suspiciously like Cucurella.
"You Aussies so obsessed with work."
"No work for me. I sick if Spain win, I sick if Spain lose."
"VAMOSSSSSSSSSS"
