As the greatest show on earth rapidly approaches, many footballing fans around the world are working themselves up into a frenzy.

With the first matches a little over a week away, that means pundits all around the globe have also been talking shit about their upcoming opponents.

Pundits like former player US Mike Grella have made headlines for saying their opponents aren't much chop, and their matchup should be a walk in the park.

Like others in the country famous for big noting itself and underachieving in most things, Grella has talked plenty more shit about the Socceroos.

Amongst other things, he said that the US men's team shouldn't bother getting out of bed if it can't beat the Roos.

The comments, joined by other noise merchants in the home of the brave and the land of the free to die at the hands of gun violence or lack of medical care, have amused many Aussies, who sure as shit are backing the boys to get the job done.
