The CEO of the Australian Mortgage Holder and Rental Association (AMHRA) has today confirmed to The Advocate that while times are tough, her members understand that some things just need to happen.

AMRHA CEO Coraline Beansworth explained to our humble regional newspaper this afternoon, that the latest interest rate rise has been taken well by her association.

"Look, it does put an extra stress on millions of Australian's already battling to put food on the table and stop their families from sweltering through the early warmer weather," began Cora this afternoon.

"But we all have to do our part," said the citizen of a country run by a government that's sitting on its hands during an inflationary crisis, and home to massive corporations that are driving the crisis through their pursuit of eye-watering and seemingly endless profits.

"We all understand that the banks need to keep pulling in 7 or 8 billion each a year, the supermarkets need to keep jacking the price of everything up because of global conflicts, and the energy and resources companies simply have to take advantage of the international market squeeze to maximise their returns on every watt of energy."

"So mortgage holders and renters need to stop spending more on the inflated prices of frivolous things like power and food."

"We are all happy to do our part to make sure the magic inflation numbers do what they need to, and the top end of town can keep raking it in."

"Which would probably be easier if these companies weren't price gouging the living fuck out of us, but then how would they make the profits they need to."
