A new boom in 'Smart glasses' and other discreet recording devices has caused extreme concern amongst members of the public who aren't degenerate perverts.

Known in Australia as 'Pervert Glasses' due to their ability to secretly film unwitting members of the public in secret, there are calls for a 12-month import ban under a new bill to be introduced to the Senate.

After a brief period of nerdy excitement during the roll-out of this technology, it soon became clear that the big tech losers honestly thought that the future looks like a world where perverts can just invade people's privacy and upload that shit onto the internet.

However, after countless horror stories coming out of overseas markets - it's become clear that the Silicon Valley billionaires are starting to believe their own bullshit - and their complete lack of basic social skills are now on full display - as they insist there is nothing wrong with these new products that will clearly be (and already are) abused by sex offenders.

The Greens, with support of both the Teals and other crossbenchers, plan to launch a bill when parliament next sits to halt the import of pervert glasses for at least 12 months, until tougher privacy protections are passed into law.

Experts warn Australian laws have not kept up with the privacy risks posed by the flood of cheap camera-enabled devices entering the country - and maybe right now is the time to be focused on sheparding such powerful technology, rather than sitting back and letting society crumble at the hands of Big Tech profiteers who have already turned all of our communities into cesspools of political division thanks to the unregulated algorthms of social media.

However, it's not just the young mums of our Federal Parliament that are concerned enough to speak up - the wider public appears to be equally distressed about this dystopian lurch towards hyper-intrusive vouyeurism.

So much so that it seems the general consensus within mainstream Australian society is that anyone caught wearing these glasses in public, without any visible and occupational reasons do doing so, deserve to have the piss flogged through them.
