Three young people in Betoota Plains have today become privy to some top-secret small-town drama, though none of them were really meant to know in the first place.
Ava Smith (28) and Reagan Matthews (28) had been catching up for lunch at Ava’s place when the young woman said she had heard something crazy the other day.
“It’s actually crazy. Wait. Idk if I can tell you,” said Ava.
“Whattt surely just tell me, you can’t say that and then not tell me,” Reagan said.
“Come onnnnn surely surely.”
“It’s just me, like who am I gonna tell?”
At this, Ava caved, and began laying down the gossip that involved a young woman from their high school and her messy dating life.
An hour later, the girls said their goodbyes, and Reagen headed home to the home she shares with her partner, Damo Dawson (29), who also graduated from their same school.
“Omg teaaaaaaa, guess what I heard today,” she said upon walking in the door and dropping her handbag down onto the counter.
“Apparently Sam got with her ex’s brother like four weeks after they broke up, lollll, Ava told me at lunch today,” she continued.
“Sam from St Andrews or Sam from Memorial High,” Damo clarified.
“Memorial High. Last name’s Wilson, you know, best friends with Miranda Plum. She’s cousins with Luke Wilson in the year below us,” Reagan replied.
“Fuckkk, yeah I know the one. That’s so heavy, ha ha. Dude, Jack used to date her in year 10, wait til he gets a load of this ha ha,” Damo said.
It’s reported the gossip has already reached 78% of the alumni from every high school in Betoota and surrounds.
More to come.
