The federal Liberal-National Coalition are today indulging in another day of fear mongering about the ‘great Chinese threat.’

Joined by the war hawks in the media who enjoy irrationally stoking fear and hatred, the Opposition have lashed out at the government for their handling of the ‘warship saga.’

The saga has centred around a sovereign nation conducting fairly standard military drills in international waters, without keeping another sovereign nation who diplomatically attacked them during a global crisis a couple of years ago, completely abreast of their exact movements.

Those movements have lead to the media and political class being wound up by the defence industry funded lobbyists who have spent decades trying to amp up the threat of China to sell weapons.

That has reached fever pitch this week, with Peter Dutton and his party attacking the government for not starting a fight with our biggest trading partner who fucked our economy for a couple of years there – despite Peter Dutton being the Immigration and and Border Protection Minister when his government gave away OUR port of Darwin to a company heavily affiliated Chinese Government.

The incredibly strategic northern outlet was handed over to the Landbridge Group (with stronger links to the CCP than any social media algorithm) for 100 years by the then Coalition Government.

Andrew Robb, the Trade Minister at the time and crucial figure in the negotiations then immediately quit his role in politics to take up a lucrative job with the very same Landbridge Group – in a move not often mentioned in the comment section by angry quiet Australians who are worried they’ll be forced to speak Mandarin one day.

It’s also of course not mentioned by the current Opposition, who are trying to show they are tough on China, despite handing over a highly strategic and important asset to them.

The media are of a similar opinon, informing their audience that they just need to be SCARED of a country that has zero interest in a military conflict with us.

More to come.
