The Betoota Advocate Offices Raided By AFP Over 1997 Engadine McDonalds Leaks

The Australian Federal Police have raided The Advocate’s Daroo Street newsroom this morning over possible leaks related to the infamous 1997 Engadine McDonalds incident involving the Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

In the lead up to this year’s election, our editorial team published a number of articles related the alleged pant shitting controversy after receiving a number of leaked and confidential documents from an unnamed source within the Commonwealth.

The Advocate’s editor, Dr Clancy Overell OAM, spoke to local media outside on Daroo Street a short time ago where he said the newspaper wouldn’t bow to such an affront to press freedom.

“They’ll have to shoot me,” he said.

“Today, it’s us. Tomorrow, it might be a private citizen. The line in the sand on the beach of privacy has been crossed – and you should all be worried – and angered.”

The Advocate had reached out to the Australian Federal Police for comment on the raid but has yet to recieve a response.

The raid is ongoing.
