After earning the South Sydney Rabbitohs a heart-pumping win last night, it looks as though Benji Marshall may have landed himself a fairly sizeable payday as well.

The former Wests-Tigers premiership-winning five-eigth was sensational in his new side’s exhilarating 40-30 victory over the Titans last night, scoring a couple and setting up a couple more.

And now, the man who was unwanted by every club except for the Bunnies looks set to land himself a huge payday as a result of a purple patch of form at the ripe old age of 36.

The playmaker with arguably the most famous step in Rugby League history has reportedly been offered a $6 million deal over 5 years by his former club the Wests Tigers.

The sensational offer comes a few months after the struggling club pushed Marshall out the back door, fucking him over for the second time in his career.

Marshall had previously accepted pay cuts to help keep the struggling club afloat for a significant period of time, before being told to pack up and move on.

But, in a second case of coming full circle, it looks like the still electric talent may come home for a third time in his decorated career.

“He’s the perfect signing for our club,” said a Wests Tigers head office official today.

“He’s old, he’s enjoying a bit of good form at a dominant club, and he’s the perfect candidate for us to throw a stack of cash at.”

“We have almost sorted cleared our salary cap up, so it would be great to bog it down again with overpaid aging NRL stars.”
