In the most rugby league hurdle to be faced by the embattled rugby league, there are now reports that several players are refusing to receive flu shots after being pressured by their wives.

While not mandatory, common flu vaccinations are part of the NRL’s strict biosecurity protocols in order to restart the competition next month following the coronavirus shutdown.

However, even with the entire planet locked inside while hundreds of thousands of people die because human civilisation is now witnessing what can happen when one particular illness is not vaccinated against, the loudest voices in the room have once again proven to be the most idiotic.

Several high profile NRL WAGs have taken advantage of the vulnerable position of the organisation that provides their main source of income, and have used their equally uneducated husbands as tools to spread awareness for a movement that advocates the supposed freedom of Australian citizens to bring back horrible illnesses that have killed millions of children like polio and whooping cough.

With an engrained culture of very naughty off-field behaviour in the rugby league, it is not lost on the general public that the lives of NRL wives and girlfriends would be very stressful. However, most would have assumed the binge drinking and rampant adultery would be their number one concern.

NRL fans are today surprised that vaccination skepticism appears to be the biggest marital issue faced by the low-rent influencers who have leveraged off their profiles off their husbands abilities to run really hard into other large men while carrying an inflated sheath of rubber.

Some Anti-wagxers have since made hundreds of thousands running ‘vaccination awareness’ seminars by profiteering off the fears of young mothers who have experienced traumatic childbirth. The movement has since spread right around the world through their instagram pages, causing the drastically low immunisation rates in Samoa that resulted in nearly 83 deaths in last year’s measles epidemic.

This growing ‘freedom debate’ has gotten so out of control that it has prompted even Prime Minister Morrison to weigh in, saying the NRL should enforce a “no jab, no play” policy that would ensure players who rejected vaccination would be suspended from competing.

However, several players from clubs that will never ever win a premiership have responded with criticism to the Prime Minister’s comments, saying it would be “coercion” which is a big word their wives learnt on Youtube.

While the anti-vaxxers continue to build their profiles with Israel Folau-like stubbornness, NRL fans and administrators now wait gleefully to see what happens when a movement of half-wit conspiracists are faced with the unrelenting ferociousness of Saint Peter V’Landys.
