Cali icon Snoop Dogg has today given humble foodies a Friday morning treat.

Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr has caused a bit of a scene outside a popular Fitzroy bakery this morning, (or crossianterie as they call them in Melbourne) after being spotted queuing up for a local delicacy.

The man set to light up the stage at tomorrow’s AFL Grand Final reportedly stopped in to the famous Lune bakery a short time ago, to pick himself and his team up a few flakey bits of goodness.

Famous for his consumption of appetite inducing herbs, it’s believed Snoop pretty much cleaned the place out.

Speaking to The Advocate quickly after loading up his Limo, Snoop explained that he wants to make the most of his trip to Aus.

“Yeah, I don’t know when I’ll be back in Melbourne, and everyone bangs on about these god damn croissants,” laughed Snoop.

“So I thought I’d get em while they are hot.”

“And not drop them obviously.”

After a big meal at Vue De Monde last night, the man newly clad in the MCC member uniform said he’s now going to head into town for a couple of pots in Richmond.

“I really get confused by what you guys call pots,” admitted Snoop.

“Everyone bangs on about a couple of pots, but then all they do is drink.”

“Weird.”

“Anyway, if you’ll leave me to a few croissants, that would be much appreciated.”

More to come.
