The rise of One Nation might be over before they were able to gain any real traction at a Federal level.
This comes as the party succumbs to the same factional in-fighting that has plagued both the Liberals and Labor.
Overnight, it seems that One Nation officially became a major party - as their membership base grows big enough for clear ideological divides to emerge.
The main issue of contention within the membership base, is whether or not the party should endorse calls to raise the Australian flag at half-mast as a tribute to the late double-murderer Dezi Freeman, who was shot dead by Victorian police yesterday morning after spending seven months on the run.
The 56-year-old was at the centre of Australia's biggest manhunt, after killing two police officers on his property in rural Victoria last August, before fleeing into dense bushland and evading extensive searches.
A well-known conspiracy theorist, Freeman has become somewhat of a hero to a subculture of likeminded 'cookers' - many of whom have become influential figures within One Nation.
With little to no vetting processes for weeding out dangerous ideologies within their ranks, One Nation must now contend with the fact that half their party is made up of people who view Dezi Freeman as a martyr.
Even after collecting over 20% of the primary vote in the South Australian state election, One Nation has proved they still have a long way to go before they can gain the confidence of enough Australians to pick up the preferences required to actually win seats.
One Nation's deputy leader, Barnaby Joyce, appears to be deeply concerned about some of the conversations he's been having with fellow party members over the last 24 hours.
"Nah. We can't do tha.... What the fuck are you people talking about?" said Barnaby Joyce, before being accused by party colleagues of being a globalist shill who was sent by the UN to destroy One Nation from the inside.
As is the case every time it gets revealed that One Nation has ushered in full blown psychopaths to their ranks, Pauline Hanson has neither condemned nor condoned these extremist ideologies, and has instead blamed the ABC and family courts.
