NRL Announce Drastic New Rule Change Allowing Referees To Sin Bin Roosters’ Players

The National Rugby League has today announced a bold new rule change, which could have huge ramifications on the game of Rugby League.

From this weekend, if a Roosters player not named Victor Radley commits a sin binnable offence, they will be sent to the sin bin for ten minutes.

Previously, if a player who wasn’t Victor Radley had committed an offence deemed dangerous, unsporting or against the spirit of the game they were cautioned by the referee and politely asked to not do that again.

The huge move has shocked fans of Rugby League at home and abroad, changing a feature of the game for the last few decades.

However, that won’t be happening going forward.

It’s the believed the rule change came about after NRL boss Peter V’Landys was frustrated watching Rooster winger Daniel Tupou take Dragons winger Mikaele Ravalawa’s head off without punishment on the weekend.

While many fans understood the rules of the game prevented Tupou from being sin-binned, V’Landys has once again decided to change the game from the comforts of his armchair.

“Uncle Nick and the boys in Bondi won’t like it, but the rules have to change,” said V’Landys today.

“I know Chooks fans will have a sook about it, but they should look on the bright side,” he said.

“It gives them another reason to feel victimised despite being the richest and most fortunate club in the league,” he said.

“Saves them making some shit about the turf at other clubs causing their ACL injuries”

The Roosters organisation has yet to respond to the rule change.
