Experts have revealed that there is currently no one on earth with higher anxiety levels than a local man that has placed a huge emphasis on his incoming tax return when budgeting for his current holiday in Europe.
Hayden Crawford (24), a full time hospitality worker, admits he may have jumped the gun a little on committing to a Euro summer with a few of his friends earlier this year.
“Yeah, I mean It’s probably a little irresponsible to commit to an overseas trip with a few hundred bucks in the back and a couple thousands still owing to mum, but your only young once right?” explained Hayden back in March.
“My tax return in July should be pretty juicy anyway, so there’s my spending money sorted”
Fast forward to July and Hayden has found himself under quite a lot of Croatia.
The 25 year old has found himself checking the status of his tax return multiple times an hour.
“It was meant to come in last week, what’s going on?” Hayden said while frantically refreshing his MyTax account.
“If this doesn’t come in by Tuesday I’m pretty screwed”
While Hayden admits the financial hardships have made his first few weeks in Europe a little stressful, he believes the absolute high after weeks of anxious anticipation when the tax return lands will be totally worth it.
