Millionaire Hotseat Reboot Sees Value Of Prizes Dramatically Increase

Despite running on fumes and being largely held together with spit and rubber bands, Network 10's reboot of Millionaire Hotseat has seen a massive increase in the value of prizes offered to the freaks of middle Australia who subject themselves to game shows.

The major top prize is 65 litres of unleaded petrol (RON 92) or diesel, with fractions of a tank being offered as minor prizes.

A spokesperson for 10, who appears to be one of the last people left at 1 Saunders Street with a job, told The Advocate that the network had secured a dozen 44-gallon drums of petrol for the show and is keeping them safe in Jonathan LaPaglia's old dressing room.

"If a contestant wins the main prize, they will be invited to bring their car round to the staff carpark and we'll siphon a tank over," they said.

"And if they only win half, then we'll just have to guess. Hugh Riminton will be doing the siphoning, he's very good at it. I've only ever seen him get petrol in his mouth once or twice. Denham Hitchcock is rubbish at it. If I didn't know him better, you'd think he enjoys the taste of diesel,"

"But this new reboot 'Who Wants To Have A Full Tank Of Petrol' is primed and ready to be a ratings bonanza."

More to come.
