24 year old man Andrew Fennel was introduced to another new ABC docuseries by his parents yesterday evening when visiting for dinner.

The Gen Z Betoota local was just happy to have his dinner paid for, so the content on the television didn’t bother him one bit.

“I’ll watch whatever, better than eating my fried rice meal prep in my bedroom to avoid my housemates” Andrew shared with the Advocate.

“They start with the ABC 7pm news, then the 7:30 report, then Australian Story if we’re lucky and then absolutely anything after that.”

The ABC’s most popular genre on the free to air channel is the docuseries closely followed by anything Kitty Flanagan related.

“Last night there was this series about how different pubs around Australia incorporate sustainability and this Aussie comedian, I forget her name, she would go round and test the food and the pints and talk to the locals. Just saying it now it sounds fucking boring but for some reason I watched the entire thing.”

“Or there’s that one with the portrait painting, now that’s cool cause how on earth do they paint a spot on portrait of Jessica Mauboy AND talk to her about growing up in Darwin?”

“Or Spicks and Specks now that is just a great-”

Proud Gen Z Andrew was hit with a hot flush of “I’m getting old” when he stopped mid sentence, unable to gush about Spicks and Specks. The young man got his phone out and started scrolling Instagram reels of basketball edits to get the old man out of his system.

“That was so weird, sorry, don’t fkn tell anyone I know Myf Warhurst.”
