Kiwi Mate Really Worked Up Over Which Country Has Better Pies For Some Reason

A local Kiwi mate is getting really worked up over meat pies again.

Jaxon Wano-McKenzie (30), a Kiwi living on the Gold Coast, has gone on another one of his pie rants with his Australian mates who had innocently swung past a servo to pick up a couple pies.

"Jesus Christ, we just thought we were getting a snack," said one of Jaxon's shocked Aussie mates.

"We had no idea it would turn into this nationalist rant about the quality of food in each country."

Witnesses say the rant began seconds after the idea of stopping for a pie was brought up.

Jaxon reportedly commenced a rant about how the pies in New Zealand put Australian pies to shame and how Australians wouldn't know a good pie if it slapped them in the face.

After Jaxon's friends assured him that they believed him and that pie's weren't really a big deal for them, he reportedly doubled down.

"He was acting as if NZ had these life changing pies," said one mate.

"He started talking about bakeries as if we don't have those here," added another.

Jaxon then reportedly spent the next fifteen minutes scrolling through photos of steak and cheese pies from back home while his mates ate their lukewarm sausage rolls in silence.

Witnesses claim Jaxon became emotional while describing a bakery in Hamilton.

"Honestly mate, you don't get it over here," he sighed.
