An Australian man on his first trip to Europe has absolutely obliterated his entire holiday after making the devastating mistake of visiting the seaside town of Blackpool.
“It was on the coast! There was a ferris wheel! What was I supposed to do!” said 21 year old Thomas Huntley while sitting in a dilapidated holiday house on the Blackpool beach front.
Blackpool, the north western seaside town that was a magnet for holidaying working class Brits before the invention of budget airline tickets to Spain, has now become a shell of itself as poverty and drug addiction grips the town.
Within minutes of Thomas’ arrival to his AirBnb he knew he had made a fatal mistake.
“I definitely thought it was a little odd when my AirBnb host casually asked me if i do heroin”
Upon going for a walk once he had dropped his bags off Thomas was confronted by the sheer depravity of one of England’s neglected seaside towns.
He says the experience was so intense it may have ruined his entire trip.
“I’ve genuinely never actually been somewhere as depressing as this place”
“I just want to go home” Thomas lamented while curled up in the fetal position while a pair of 12 year old local boys kicked him on the floor.
Like many Australians Thomas was under the assumption that any town located along prime coastal land must be nice enough, unfortunately Thomas failed to consider just how grim the UK could be.
Thomas admits he is reconsidering his European trip altogether after visiting Blackpool claiming, “I’m just not in the mood to travel anymore”
