In breaking news, a local girl has declared she’ll no longer be chained to the confines of her TikTok feed this year, whilst also swiping the depths of her TikTok feed.
After spending tonight horizontal on the couch macrodosing dopamine for several hours, Bianka Sutton (26) has told her boyfriend this will be the year she finally puts her phone down, and swaps constant swiping for calming page turning.
Having spent the majority of her summer holidays glued to her phone at the beach, campsites, shopping centres or the passenger seat of her boyfriend’s car, Bianka has declared enough is enough.
“Babe, we need to think about our New Years resolutions, it’s almost February!” Bianka proclaimed, in between watching a clip of an influencer review a new flavour of toothpaste that’s just been released.”
“I think I’m going to read 20 books this year!”
Busy in the kitchen chopping up some veggies to chuck into a stir-fry, local boyfriend Peter Evans played along, knowing that his answers would struggle to be heard as she continued to scroll.
“Ahh yeah, which ones you gonna read?”
Thrilled for a chance to ask TikTok for some book recommendations, and inevitably then go down a rabbit hole of watching other Tikokkers review other TikTokkers video reviews, Bianka put her snorkel on, and again sunk into the depths of her erratic feed.
“Hmm I’ve got a few on my list, maybe the Atomic Habits one, would be good to build some good habits into my year…”
More scrolling to come.
