Introducing a new partner can always be a difficult meeting to master, however for one woman it became extra challenging due to a certain puffer vest and shorts combination.

Last night outside a bar in Betoota’s French Quarter, Jasmine Woods waited anxiously to meet her boyfriend of 2 weeks to introduce him to her group of judgemental girlfriends.

“No no they’re not judgemental they’re just protective,” Jasmine assured our reporter.

“They’re usually pretty relaxed there’s just a certain couple of red flags they look out for,” she added.

When Todd Lincoln, Jasmine’s eager new boyfriend arrived wearing light brown chino shorts and a North Face puffer vest, Jasmine knew it was all over.

“I swear he’s never worn those items of clothing in the whole time I’ve known him, he usually dresses rather stylish!!”

After an awkward kiss on the cheek from Todd, Jasmine led him into the lion's den ready to get ripped apart.

Jasmine’s friends, who were already ready to be disappointed, found the outfit nearly laughable.

Tash, Jasmine’s best friend since school, was not surprised at the man who entered the bar.

“I could have bet my right arm that he was going to rock up wearing that, Jas has a type.”

“I just straight up asked him what accounting firm he worked for, I knew it was accounting or finance.”

The Deloitte accountant was happy with his weather appropriate outfit.

“I was gonna wear shorts and a shirt but when I popped outside it was lowkey cold af so popped the north face on y’know?” Todd told the Advocate.

When asked if perhaps long pants were an option for the bar outing he shook his head.

“It’s not July yet, you gotta wear shorts until you’re absolutely freezing your nuts off.”
