Stalwart of Victorian cricket Rob Quiney was named by British singer Morrissey on an expansive list of 'malefactors' earlier this week and the former Test first drop claims to have no idea how or why.

Sources close to Quiney paint another picture.

It can be revealed by The Advocate that the big Victorian knows exactly what he did to Morrissey but details of the event are covered by a suppression order issued by a UK court in 2013. Quiney has denied commenting on the alleged transgression when questioned by our reporter this morning.

Morrissey's management also failed to respond to questions put to them by The Advocate, which included quires surrounding an alleged incident in 2013 where Quiney was said to have offered the pop star a bite of his sausage roll outside an Essex pub.

Being a vegetarian, Morrissey declined.

It's understood by The Advocate that in certain parts of Victoria, offering another man a bite of your sausage roll is considered an act of respect and declining the gesture can be viewed as an insult.

The Advocate does not allege that Morrissey did any wrongdoing.
