Lovers of traditional travel can rejoice as it has been confirmed by the nation’s Uber passengers that the rideshare company is now as complacent as the independent taxi companies they defeated with mints and bottle water.

When Uber first launched in Australia in October of 2012, it was met with enthusiasm from consumers who were looking for an alternative to taxi services who, judging by the price, must have been charging extra for the unrequested rants.

Arriving with a moments notice, as opposed to the traditional ‘whenever the fuck we want’, Uber won over Australian customers with their convenience, customer service, and clean vehicles that were always chockablock with mints and bottled water.

Now, nearly ten years after launching in Australia it is safe to say Uber has killed the independent taxi industry by out-servicing them and operating without half a million-dollar plates.

So undeniable has been Uber’s success that the ride-sharing app has overtaken taxis in the most literal way possible and become just as shady and complacent as they once were.

“I waited seventeen minutes for a ride the other day,” stated one Uber user with an anti-social passenger score of 4.2.

“It kept trying to charge me $10 to cancel! I could have hailed a taxi in that time if I had any idea how to do that!” Sadly, the mints and bottled water are nowhere to be seen in Uber vehicles, the drivers of which could easily be mistaken for taxi drivers who are driving poorly on purpose in some satisfying form of revenge.
