An office know-it-all is attempting to cover his tracks this afternoon, caught out trying to appear well-read when in fact he simply has a TikTok addiction.

Standing in the office kitchen of his digital media agency, ‘The Disruption Collective’, local Sales Planner Martin Grant (31) has got himself in a tangle, whilst trying to showboat his detailed knowledge of Myers-Briggs personality types.

After rattling off several key points, in a rather rhythmic fashion which appeared suspiciously well rehearsed, Mr Grant was caught lying to his colleagues about his source of information.

“So I was reading this article in The Economist magazine…” chortled an inflated Mr Grant. “And it was all about Meyers-Briggs power couples, and how ‘The Logistician’ and ‘The Entrepreneur’ work really well together.”

“And it just got me thinking, we should all research our personality types to improve our project cohesion!”

Less than three sentences into his ramblings, it’s believed Mr Grant was comprehensively sprung by young intern Cassie Edwards (20), who put a sharp handbrake on his failed intellectual musings.

“Oh yeah, I think I saw that video on TikTok last night!”

“That channel @officepsych78 is so funny…”

Disarmed and filled with internal rage to be outwitted by a lowly office junior, Mr Grant is said to have doubled down on his rhetoric that he discovered the article online.

“Yeah, I mean sure everything’s on TikTok now.”

“They’re even live streaming TedTalks on there, which is the only reason why I use it…”

Universally disliked by his colleagues, for his fascination of name-dropping international science magazines, Mr Grant is reported to have uncomfortably shuffled out of the social interaction with a hasty exit.

“Well yeah whatever, it’s a good article, everyone should read it.”

“I’ve gotta go do a Webinar with the UK team after lunch, so I can’t stand here all day like you idiots and chitter chat!”

More to come.
