BOM No Longer Necessary As Local Man Can Now See His Breath

A local guy has officially announced that it’s actually really cold now cause he can see his breath when he exhales. 

The Betoota local, Ricky James, had been exhaling every morning in hopes that he’d see his breath one one icy morning. He was stoked when he finally saw the mist come out his mouth. 

“I dunno why it excites me so much, it’s just like science you know?” Ricky told our reporter in his full winter getup. 

“It’s a good trick cause it tells you when you gotta rug up cause it’s fucked cold,” he added. 

Ricky, who was one of the bunch who gave up on the BOM website after the update, has been using this method of testing temperature ever since. 

“No no it wasn’t just the update, it was never bloody accurate,” he told the Advocate. 

“You’d have more chance of getting an accurate temp from the apple weather, and that’s saying something!” 

But checking the temperature wasn’t the only situation Ricky liked to use his misty breath for. 

“Yeah I remember doing it as a kid and pretending I was smoking a pack of ciggies ahaha it was classic!” 

“Now days I just pretend I’m in an old Russian movie or something, not that I’ve seen any Russian movies but I reckon that’s what it’s like.” 

Ricky’s neighbour, Joanne Smithers has noticed Ricky’s exhaling for the past couple years she’s lived next door to him. 

“It’s really weird, he once did it mid convo and I don’t think he realised he was doing it,” Joanne told our reporter. 

“I don’t think he notices how much of an ick it is but ah well whatever gets you going.”
