SORE SIGHT FOR THE EYES: A Betoota Grove housewife, Lucy Mitchell has finally completed her dream home renovations with what she’s calling the ‘piece de resistance’ – a $2.5k Hermes throw draped across her otherwise perfectly good couch.

“A house isn’t a home without one,” Lucy told Betoota, performing a chef’s kiss gesture.

When interviewed for Betoota’s online House of Style magazine, a feature her husband kindly paid for her, she told reporters “she knew something was missing, but couldn’t quite put her finger on it”.

“It was like a ah ha moment when I realised that I needed one of those iconic Hermes blankets”

“How else would I be able to symbolise my wealth without displaying one?” Lucy continued. More than that, Lucy has found immense satisfaction seeing the look on her friend’s faces when they come over to bask in all its cashmere glory.

Speaking to interior designers, the iconic H logo’d blanket is a heated debate among industry professionals.

“DON’T MENTION THE THROW” one highly regraded interior stylist told Betoota, adding “Why anyone would ruin a perfectly good couch with that monstrosity is beyond me”.

Despite this, Lucy’s still adamant she’s made the right styling choice.

“What do they know anyway? Everyone on TikTok has one.”

More to come.
