It has been revealed that the chicken salt doused potato scallop from a local swimming pool canteen tastes as good as it looks.

The finding was confirmed this afternoon by a swimmer who spent the twenty laps of his session thinking about what was on offer at the pool canteen.

Local man Daniel Harris (32) decided there was no point pretending he was going straight home.

“I could see them when I was paying to get in,” he said.

“I've basically been swimming towards one for half an hour.”

Despite considering whether buying fried potato undermined the purpose of his visit, Daniel decided that this was a separate matter and ordered two.
